TW LogStackers
Wood Handling applications with Log Stackers
TW LogStackers have been designed to handle cut to length logs from 2m to 6m.
More information regarding ‘cut to length’ method see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut-to-length_logging
Pulp and Paper mills
RTD3126 (Tier5) is mostly used on the wood yards of large pulp and paper mills.
The tasks include:
- Unloading of incoming wood from log trucks.
- Unloading of incoming wood from rail cars
- Manipulating wood yard logistics and transporting of logs from truck/rail car to storage
- Transporting logs directly from truck or rail car to feed table
- Stacking logs to piles up to 8m high
The efficiency criteria for RTD3126 is, that the whole bundle from truck or rail car must be picked with one take only.
RTD17 Tier5 can also operate on pulp and paper mill, if the efficiency criteria will be met.
Saw mills
RTD17 Tier5 has traditionally been “the sawmill machine” on large saw mills, but now it is also supported by RTD12, which is targeted for sawmills which used to operate wheel loaders.
The tasks include:
- Unloading of incoming wood from log trucks and rail cars and transporting to sorting line table.
- Picking the logs from sorting line pockets and transporting to saw table or to ‘sorted logs storage’.
- Stacking logs to piles up to 8m high
Transporting logs from storage to saw table.
RTD3126 Tier5 can also be used on sawmills for unloading incoming wood from trucks or for transporting logs from storage to saw table. RTD3126 Tier5 is not always suitable for picking the logs from sorting line pockets due to the high capacity and size of the grapple.
